Keep Bayer-Monsanto's filthy GMO hands off Organic Standards!
The USDA has deregulated products of gene editing, a new method of genetic engineering, failing to protect consumers and the environment from completely new GMOs that have never before existed and that have not gone through satisfactory, long-term safety testing. Recently, USDA Under Secretary Greg Ibach made comments before the House Agriculture Subcommittee suggesting that products of gene editing methods be allowed in organic production.
We cannot allow the products of newer methods of genetic engineering, such as gene editing and synthetic biology, to enter our organic food supply. Please send a comment to the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) today and tell them that any kind of GMO in organic is unacceptable.
Click and post our pre-written comment on the USDA docket or take a minute to edit it to make it your own. The public comment deadline is midnight, Eastern Time, October 03, 2019. Please comment TODAY! Then share with everyone you know who cares about organic food. Thank you.
